Composing A Creative Career

“Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do.”

“Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy.”

“With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility.”

Okay, that last one is copy written, and beside my point. While we would all love to make 5 mil from just opening toys and having nice nails like DCToy Collector alas we must go the regular route. But what if we want to make our profession art? Becoming the manager of a business is taxing, a mundane life as a store clerk is juvenile, and becoming an engineer takes a bigger brain than I have room for. And far too much math, eww. But there are ways in which you can make money and make time for your passions and hobbies. You could do something in Mass Media, where the specifics are yours to decide but you are swimming in a creativity fish tank. Game designing, Art Directors to present media, Designing Fashion, Interior Design, Architecture, Graphic art and Design, or even Film Directing!

OR if none of those are your forte, take up an apprenticeship. Learn about what you want your life to be like first hand from someone. But don’t get into a Finding Forrester situation where they’re bitter.

The key to having a fulfilling life is to love what you do. That’s another saying. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” – Confucius. So if you are feeling discouraged that your artistic abilities will never land you a job and you are wasting your time pursuing this when you think that a degree in business might be more helpful think again.

Here’s a list of jobs where you can get paid to express your creativity
